Slaughtneil proceeded to the semi-final of the All-Ireland Club series after a comfortable victory at Greenford.

Mickey Moran's men were slow to find their rhythm, but when they finally accelerated through the gears there was only going to be one outcome.

St Kieran's flickered briefly, but hopes of extending the most successful season in their history and of producing one of the great upsets soon diminished.

With the breeze and the slope to their advantage, the London champions threatened the unthinkable after 10 minutes.

Michael O'Donoghue gave Kiernan's an early lead as Slaughtneil struggled to find the fluency that propelled them to a second Ulster title in three years.

Finally the Derry men settled and Christopher Bradley opened their account in the 12th minute.

Free-takers Shane McGuigan and Paul Bradley put them in front, before quickfire goals from Christopher Bradley and Meehaul McGrath fired them into a 2-5 to 0-1 interval lead.

Consecutive points from Adrian Moyles cut the gap but with the breeze now behind them, there was no stopping Slaughtneil. Points from Paul Bradley, McGuigan and 'Sammy' Bradley extended their lead to 2-9 to 0-3 by the 39th minute.

The hosts lost James Moran to a 49th-minute red card but refused to give in and hit back with points from Tommy Moriarty and Moyles, before Paul Bradley and McGuigan had the last word.
