Bonner: Time sledging issue was tackled

Donegal minor manager Declan Bonner is hoping that his side can banish the last residue of the recent sledging controversy when they face Armagh in the Ulster MFC on Sunday.
His team's win over Tyrone earlier this month was tarnished by allegations that skipper Michael Carroll had been taunted by two opposition players in relation to the death of his father from cancer in February 2014. Tyrone have denied any sledging took place.
Now Bonner is keen to see his side get back into action and provide further confirmation of their status as favourites to lift the Ulster crown.
Bonner maintains that sledging has gone to "a crazy level".
And he adds: "Something needs to be done otherwise where will it stop? It's something that shouldn't happen at any level, but it really is worrying when you see this type of behaviour going on with 17-year-olds.
"Only the people involved with teams can sort this problem out. Of course you do what you have to do to win - but does that really extend to goading a young lad about the death of someone?"
