THE replay of the All Ireland hurling final is to be replayed at 5pm on Saturday 28 September, the GAA has announced.

After consultation with An Garda Síochána the GAA has confirmed that the 5pm throw-in time in the game between Clare and Cork.

The match had been fixed for Saturday 28th rather than a traditional Sunday because the ladies' finals are scheduled for the following Sunday and will not be changed - unlike last year.

Yesterday's final was the second hurling final in successive to end in a draw after Kilkenny and Galway's final last year.

The match will guarantee a €2m payday for the GAA as attendances will soar towards 1.5m on the back of Domhnall O'Donovan's last-gasp equalising point for the Banner yesterday.
