Wrenn swoops to call tune in Milltown-Castlemaine victory
M'town-Castlemaine 1-14 Mullinahone 0-6
Milltown-Castlemaine were crowned champions after they brushed aside a valiant challenge from Tipperary's Mullinahone in Mallow.
The dominance of the Kerry men over their shell-shocked opponents was clear throughout. Captain Damien Murphy, along with forwards Jerome Flynn and Gavin Wrenn, led the mid Kerry side into the All-Ireland semi-final.
Mullinahone for their part had impressive displays from Eoin Kelly and Adrian Doheny.
The Kerry side scored eight points without response to lead by 0-10 to 0-2 going in at the break. The second half was more of the same and Mullinahone's frustration boiled over with three of their side heading for an early shower in a three-minute spell.
