TYRONE won't be appealing the four-week ban imposed on Joe McMahon who was sent off against Mayo last Sunday week.
McMahon opted not to accept the suspension recommended by the Central Competitions Control Committee and took his case to the Hearings Committee on Tuesday where he argued that he did not strike Mayo defender Peadar Gardiner in the incident which led to his dismissal.
However, the committee rejected his plea and while he has the option of appealing the decision, Tyrone PRO Damien Harvey said it was most unlikely he would proceed.
