DUBLIN county secretary John Costello issued a withering assessment in his annual report on players feigning injury in an attempt to dupe match officials into taking action against opponents.
Premeditated, cowardly and unsporting are among Costello's descriptions of what he regards as a growing theme, and he claims that those who deploy the black art are often the most theatrical divers of all under minimum contact. He called for measures to be taken to eradicate the practice.
He also wrote: "Some teams – and one in particular – have become very adept at it."
Who on earth could they be? More intriguingly, who is the 'one'?
