Sludden back to haunt Wee fans

It was a particularly scary Hallowe'en for Louth fans with the sight of Martin Sludden back in black yesterday.
The controversial referee took charge of his first high-profile game since the infamous Leinster SFC final last July, when Meath won the title with a goal that should have been disallowed.
Yesterday he in was in Ballybofey to take charge of the Ulster Club SFC quarter-final between Naomh Conaill and Clontibret at Ballybofey. In our picture, Sludden shows yellow cards to Rodney Gorman (Clontibret) and Johnny McLoone (Naomh Conaill) after a first-half incident. Oliver McVeigh / SPORTSFILE
