O'Neill goal puts Kilcock on right path

Scoil Dara recorded a convincing victory over Athlone CC in this opening round clash at Kilcock yesterday.
In very wet underfoot conditions, the home side led by 1-8 to 0-4 at half-time, with the goal coming from corner-forward Sean O'Neill in the 10th minute.
Early in the second half, Athlone showed signs of a revival with scores from substitutes Tom O'Halloran (0-1) and Dylan Jinks (1-0). However, a scrambled goal by full-forward Cillian McManus in the 51st minute turned this game back in Kilcock's favour.
