O'Hanrahan's four for Kieran's

St Kieran's, Kilkenny 5-7 Dublin North 1-5

All-Ireland champions St Kieran's took a while to shut out a determined Dublin Colleges side, but once they opened the second half with an opportunist goal, there was never any danger of them relinquishing their provincial crown at rain-swept Park Ratheniska on Saturday.

Two goals in each half by full-forward Thomas O'Hanrahan ensured that the champions reached yet another semi-final.

Dublin kept in touch in the opening half thanks to Ciaran Kilkenny's brilliant finish five minutes before the break which left St Kieran's 2-3 to 1-4 to the good.

Playing with wind assistance on the changeover, the winners eventually found top gear as O'Hanrahan added his second brace to seal a semi-final spot.
