O'Dwyer linked to Mayo post

The nominations for Mayo football manager are due to close this evening with much speculation as to whether Mick O'Dwyer will be among the names.
O'Dwyer (pictured) has yet to officially cut his ties with Wicklow despite informing the players in the dressing-room after the Cavan defeat that he was finished.
But it is understood that there has been contact with the veteran manager in recent weeks, with Mayo's Dublin-based supporters' club keen to see his name included as a potential successor to John O'Mahony.
John Maughan, their most successful manager of modern times, could also feature among the nominations but he has yet to publicly declare an interest.
Noel Connelly and James Horan are two of the names being considered locally as potential candidates but there is a growing feeling that Connelly may not be interested despite his solid record as the county's U-21 manager.
Peter Ford, the former Sligo and Galway manager, is also thought to be cool on the idea of allowing his name to go forward.
