EOGHAN O'CONNOR'S boot proved decisive as wasteful Limerick edged out Leitrim at the Gaelic Grounds.
With Ger Collins and Ian Ryan ruled out, O'Connor took over the free-taking duties. He would have added to his tally of seven points had a thundering shot not come back off the crossbar.
Leitrim, backed by the strong breeze, led by 0-5 to 0-4 at the interval, but trailed by four points after 55 minutes.
The visitors hit back to reduce the deficit to the minimum before Limerick substitute Paul Kinnerk sent over a smashing point to clinch it.
