NEW Kerry football manager Pat O'Shea, fresh from Munster club success with Dr Crokes, has confirmed his selectors for 2007.
Sean Geaney, a former Kerry defender and recent coach to the minor team before John Kennedy took over, and Dr David Geaney, a medical officer with Kerry teams for many years, will link up with O'Shea.
Sean Geaney is involved with the Dingle club, while Dr Dave Geaney is attached to Castleisland Desmonds.
And in a surprise departure O'Shea has named John Sugrue, the South Kerry midfielder, as the team trainer.
It had been anticipated that Stephen Stack and Donal Daly could become part of the backroom team.
Sugrue, who is still only 29, will be one of the youngest ever trainers of a Kerry team. He is a physiotherapist by profession and is based in Killarney after a spell in Portlaoise.
O'Shea met the players last week and among them was Darragh Ó Sé, a clear indication that he is not intent on quitting inter-county football just yet.
