A MOTHER of three has spoken of her fear as a brawl erupted at a GAA match while her husband was on the pitch.
Siobhan Ui She was watching the Derrytresk versus Dromid Pearses junior football game at Portlaoise with Lorna (6) Darragh (3) and Daithi (2), all pictured left.
The GAA is now under pressure to launch an investigation after the brawl left one player concussed and another with a broken cheekbone.
"I have never been so scared for (the children's) safety," Mrs Ui She told the Irish Independent.
Her husband Sean was a water man on the field and their daughter saw him being struck after the pitch was invaded.
"Lorna was screaming 'there's somebody hitting my daddy'," she said. "The kids were petrified."
