Leitrim have named seven championship newcomers in their side to face Sligo in Sunday's Connacht SFC quarter-final in Markievicz Park.

Paul Brennan, Robert Lowe, Adrian Croal and Conor Beirne all make their first starts in an attack that is led by Emlyn Mulligan in the No 11 shirt, who makes his first championship appearance in three years after a succession of injuries.

Full-back Ronan Gallagher, corner-back Paddy Maguire and midfielder Daniel Lowe are the other newcomers.

Kevin Walsh's side has a much more familiar look to it, though David Rooney and Francis Flynn are also handed debuts as David Kelly and Johnny Davey continue to recover from ankle and knee injuries respectively.

Eamonn O'Hara, Sligo's longest-serving inter-county player, starts in the No 11 shirt but Mark Breheny is on the bench due to a hamstring injury. All Star Charlie Harrison captains the side from corner-back.

Wexford football boss Jason Ryan has received a massive boost with the return of three key players for the Leinster opener against Offaly on Saturday week.

Ryan can call on defenders Niall Murphy and Joey Wadding, as well as midfielder Eric Bradley, for the Tullamore tie.

Derry are unlikely to have skipper Barry McGoldrick (groin) for Sunday's Ulster SFC clash with Fermanagh.

Meanwhile, Tyrone attacker Enda McGinley has been ruled out of the Ulster SFC opener against Monaghan on June 5 and will miss the semi-final if they progress.

McGinley needs a second operation on an ankle he damaged in a league game last February.
