McHugh stars for Donegal

Donegal 4-10 Tyrone 2-9

Donegal eased into the final when they disposed of Tyrone at Convoy yesterday.

In the end they had plenty to spare, as a super performance from Ryan McHugh paved the way for victory.

Ten first-half wides threatened the Donegal defence of their title as they led by 2-4 to 0-6 at the break, with McHugh and Donegal senior Patrick McBrearty getting the goals.

Any chance of a Tyrone comeback was ended when McBrearty hit three early second-half points, and a goal from Conor Greene put Donegal nine points clear. Tyrone did finish well but the gap was too great to make up.
