McGuigan fires Davis to precious junior club crown

NEWLY crowned junior club football champions Thomas Davis are confident of further success in the years to come.

Selector Niall Kelly believes that the Dubliners will build on a comfortable eight-point victory over Cork side Boherbue in Saturday's final in Birr.

"It will do a lot for the promotion of ladies football in the club, to win an All-Ireland title," he said.

Ciara McGuigan was the scoring star for Thomas Davis, who led by 1-5 to 0-1 at the break, with Sinead Deegan netting a 17th-minute penalty.
