McDermott the minister of defence

WHAT is it about Clare footballers and their security methods these days? Kilmurry-Ibrickane will head for the AIB All-Ireland club football final against St Gall's this day next week without having conceded a goal in their last five games.
And guess what? Clare haven't conceded any goals in three NFL games so far this season.
That's eight clean sheets in 8 hours 30 minutess of action. Kilmurry-Ibrickane and Clare are tight with the points too, having conceded an average of just over 0-7 per game, although Leitrim did hit them for 0-17 last Sunday. Still, Clare's goal remained intact.
So what's behind it? Well, the common denominator is manager Micheal McDermott who is on a dual mission with club and county at present. Clearly, he knows a thing or two about organising defences.
