AS the final scoreline suggests this was a total mismatch as Wexford cruised to a comprehensive win over a poor Kilkenny side at Gorey.
Such was Wexford's control, the game was over as a contest long before the interval as Kilkenny offered only token resistance. Goals from Craig McCabe, Aoidh Doyle and Darren Foley helped the homeside to a comfortable 3-11 to 0-0 interval lead.
Wexford's dominance increased on the resumption through a Brendan Kearney goal, and matters only got worse for the visitors, who had two players dismissed in the closing 10 minutes.
In fact, Kilkenny did not have a single scoring attempt, as Wexford finished with two further goals through McCabe and Aidan Nolan, making it an embarrassing afternoon for the Noresiders.
