Tadhg MacIntyre is director of the masters programme in applied sport and exercise psychology at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown. An accredited sports psychologist with the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences, he is also a recognised consultant by the Irish Institute of Sport.
He qualified in psychology from UCD in 1993, completed his masters in 1996 and graduated with a PhD in 2007.
An Irish international in canoe-slalom, he competed on the world scene for 15 years. He has worked with Olympic-level athletes for several years.
