League hope for Davoren
DUBLIN forward Mark Davoren is hoping to make his county comeback in the league clash with Tyrone in April, two months ahead of schedule.
Davoren tore a cruciate ligament in his left knee against Meath in June last year. Initially, he didn't think he would return prior to the championship tie against Wexford on June 13, but his progress has been so promising that Davoren now feels he could be fit for the final-round NFL tie on April 11.
"I can do more than light jogging, and that's very encouraging," he said. "There's over eight weeks to the game against Tyrone, and hopefully by then I will be available."
