London have rarely, if ever, known things to be as good as this. At Nowlan Park yesterday, the Exiles dished out a sound beating to their struggling hosts.
Kilkenny kicked the first point through Paddy Raftice, but Darren Horan and Aidan Fitzgerald quickly put London in front and, with Paul Geraghty firing three points, the visitors led by 0-8 to 0-1 at the break.
Geraghty was stretchered off to hospital early in the second half but soon after full-forward Fitzgerald raced through the home defence to shoot a goal that stretched the gap to 1-10 to 0-1.
Kilkenny squandered a chance for respectability when Graham Lalor had a penalty saved -- the game was long over by then anyway. The hosts' only point of the half came from Paul Donnelly.
