Kilbride on fire in St Brigid's masterclass

St Brigid's (Roscommon) 0-21
Eastern Harps (Sligo) 0-4
Connacht club SFC Prelim. rd

St Brigid's were operating on a different wavelength as they ripped Eastern Harps' challenge to shreds at Kiltoom.

The game was practically over as a contest at half-time as St Brigid's, with the wind behind them, raced into a 0-12 to 0-2 lead. Eastern Harps were unable to make any impression in the second half either as the home side cruised.

Senan Kilbride and Frankie Dolan scored 0-11 between them with Karol Mannion providing the platform at midfield.

By the midway mark, all six St Brigid's forwards had scored from play, with Cathal McHugh's fine point in the 28th minute leaving his side 10 points to the good.

A pair of Paul Taylor frees was all that Eastern Harps could muster in the second period. Some excellent scores from Kilbride, Cathal and Conor McHugh and Garvan Dolan sent them comfortably through.
