Kelly class overpowers hapless Cats
Joe Kelly turned in a champagne performance for Wicklow as they steamrollered hapless Kilkenny in Freshford.
There was a touch of class about everything the Baltinglass man did and he contributed 1-7, while Seanie Furlong chipped in with 1-5.
Wicklow led by 3-11 to 1-1 at half-time, having gifted Kilkenny their goal when a short kick-out by John Flynn went horribly wrong and allowed James Culleton to score from close range. The game generated a bit of heat in the last two minutes as four players picked up yellow cards and Kilkenny's JJ Dunphy was sent off on a second yellow.
