Joyce-Power turns tide
Limerick staged a great second-half comeback to beat Clare at Cooraclare in last night's Munster quarter-final. A goal by Cormac Joyce-Power was the turning point 10 minutes from the end.
The game was moved from the Gaelic Grounds due to an unplayable pitch but Limerick had the opening two points from Eoghan O'Connor and Tony McMahon while Clare settled.
But two points from Garry Leahy and Paudge McMahon had them level. After 18 minutes without a score, McMahon put Clare in front for the first time with a point which was followed by two more by Leahy and another by McMahon to have Clare 0-6 to 0-2 in front at the end of the half.Limerick dominated the second half but had to rely on the goal to regain the lead they held early on.
