Joyce in line for Galway minor hotseat
Former Galway star Tommie Joyce could be about to make a foray into inter-county management after leading his club Killererin to the county football title.
The 1998 All-Ireland winner, who is Killererin's player-manager, has been nominated to take charge of the Galway minor footballers next season.
Joyce, a brother of former All Star and Footballer of the Year Padraic, already has considerable management experience, having taken charge of Galway clubs Glenamaddy and Monivea/Abbey in recent years.
"It is a great honour -- my own club as well as a few others nominated me," he said.
"I have trained a few other clubs before I took the Killererin job this year.
"I was also involved with the U-14 and U-16 development squads over the last few years and a number of those lads will be minor next year," added Joyce, who is seeking to guide Killererin to their first Connacht club title since 1978.
