Hayden brace crushes Louth
Daryl Hayden and Damien O'Connor scored two second-half goals apiece as 13-man Laois came from behind to register a comfortable win in Drogheda on Saturday.
The visitors trailed 0-7 to 1-3 at the break, even though Louth lost Conall Hoey to a straight red card in the 22nd minute.
A minute after the break, Laois were down to 14 players too when Kevin McGrath picked up his second yellow. Yet they responded by registering 2-4 without reply, the goals falling to Hayden and O'Connor within the space of a minute.
There was no way back for Louth, who had started well by notching the first four points.
The O'Moore County ran in two more goals with powerful full-forward Hayden adding his second, and O'Connor doing likewise with a simple tap-in.
In added time, another Laois player, Ruairi Dunne, was dismissed for a second yellow.
