Hannon's treble joy

Tony Hannon led the charge with a hat-trick of goals as Wicklow warmed up for next weekend's big shoot-out with Roscommon by crushing Kilkenny in Castlecomer and boosting their scoring average in the process.
Kilkenny trailed by 1-5 to 0-1 on 15 minutes, Hannon having opened the goal rush in the third minute. However, the Cats were sitting pretty in the 26th minute when David Garvery punched a goal against all the odds to make it 1-6 to 1-2.
It was only a brief interlude as Hannon had the ball in the net again within a minute.
Wicklow then had full-back Stephen Kelly red-carded after an off-the-ball incident but it made little difference.
