WATCHING Alex Ferguson's latest rant at a referee the other day, I began to think how he would get on if he was a GAA manager.
If a GAA referee reports a manager for a verbal attack, the culprit usually gets a lengthy suspension, which applies to all managerial activity.
And if the offending manager then insulted both the opposing team and their manager in comments to the media, he'd be given short shrift by anyone who follows the sport.
Fergie (right) is very lucky he never dabbled in Gaelic football, where they know how to put manners on arrogant managers – whatever about arrogant players.
