Fixture chaos deepens
WE'RE into the third week in October and 15 county senior hurling and football finals have yet to be played. Up to last Saturday, the figure stood at 32 -- half of the total schedule.
County championships are being finished later every year, the inevitable consequence of poor planning and bad implementation throughout the summer.
The problem is getting worse, despite the usual platitudes about the importance of the club.
Time perhaps to ask the Troika to take on extra homework after inspecting the Government's books because it sure looks as if the GAA won't solve its own fixture difficulties.
