Fennell goal inspires Louth blitz


RUTHLESS Louth are on their way to Croke Park after they produced a second-half blitz to crush Donegal in Letterkenny.

A catalogue of wides left Donegal trailing 0-8 to 0-5 at the interval.

Shane Fennell beat Padraig Doherty to a high ball to rifle home Louth's first goal on 50 minutes. That put Louth eight points clear and two goals from David Dunne helped extend their lead to 20 points.

Donegal's Benny Harrigan was sent off for two yellow-card offences.
