DARA DOYLE scored 1-4 in a virtuoso second-half display to seal victory for Good Counsel in Newbridge.
The winners were four points ahead after 15 minutes, with midfielder Paidi Barden dominant.
The Dundalk side responded with 1-3 in a two-minute spell, Josh Arrow-smith raising the green flag. However, Counsel finished the half stronger with points from Barden (2) and a free from Padraig Conway. The second period belonged to Counsel and Doyle.
