Doyle brace sets Castletroy up for tilt at champs CBC

Castletroy College ran in four tries in an impressive 30-0 demolition of Bandon GS in the opening round of this year's competition in Clonakilty yesterday.

The impressive Kevin Doyle bagged a try in each half, while Neil Cronin, brother of Irish international Sean, and Peter Murray, a member of the successful Senior Cup side from 2008, also crossed for touchdowns.

The Limerick College now host holders and last year's conquerors CBC on Tuesday, February 9, in their next outing.

It all happened in the final quarter as Wesley College twice came from behind to edge out Cistercian Roscrea in this entertaining clash at NUI Maynooth yesterday.

In the end, Wesley wing Kai Jameson scored the vital try behind the posts to secure victory.
