Disappointed bosses not afraid to shoot from lip

Some light at the end of the sometimes endless tunnel of cliches. First, Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice (right) told it like it was after his side failed to score in the second half against Mayo.

"We're not going to be hiding or looking for excuses. (It was a) poor performance, (we're) disappointed..."

Meath manager Mick O'Dowd was in similar mood after his side were miles off the pace away to Monaghan.

"There'll be serious talking this week. The management will reassess everything we're doing and everything the players are doing."
