Dr Crokes defeat will, ironically, provide a welcome boost for Kerry manager Eamonn Fitzmaurice.
It means that he will soon be able to call on the services of several Crokes players, notably Eoin Brosnan and Colm Cooper.
A few others will surely be in contention, bearing in mind the recent pathetic performances of the Kerry team.
In general, Kerry GAA people do not do panic, but a few more ignominious defeats in the league like those suffered against Mayo and Dublin might change all that.
Still, I have never known Kerry to worry about football in February.
