CORK eased their relegation concerns with a comfortable 0-14 to 0-8 win over Tyrone in Omagh.
Tyrone had been unbeaten up until today’s clash but Conor Counihan’s side seems to have found their feet finally in the 2013 league campaign.
Looking to build on their narrow victory over Down last week, Cork got off to a good start rattling off the first three points of the game.
Tyrone responded to restore parity but further points from Aidan Walsh, Donncha O’Connor and Paul Kerrigan had them 0-8 to 0-4 ahead at half-time.
In a poor second half points from Aidan Walsh, Paul Kerrigan and Colm O’Neill helped Keep Mickey Harte’s men at arms length and although Martin Penrose made a difference when he arrived on the scene, Cork ran out six point winners in front of a very healthy crowd.
