Cork ease Canty fear
Cork are confident that their captain Graham Canty will be ready for the All-Ireland final in four weeks' time, WRITES COLM KEYS.
Canty aggravated the hamstring injury picked up against Roscommon in the quarter-final approaching half-time against Dublin on Sunday and did not reappear for the second half.
His replacement, Eoin Cadogan, impressed on his introduction and has made a big play for inclusion the next day.
The fact that Canty has four weeks to recover this time is very much in his favour. Cork sources are confident that the aggravation he suffered was not nearly as severe as the original injury in the second half against Roscommon.
"Graham tweaked his hamstring in the first half and was replaced at half-time, however he will be fully recovered for the final," said Dr Con Murphy, Cork's team doctor.
