Castlegregory ease into final

KERRY champions Castlegregory swept into the All-Ireland Club JFC final after cruising past their Meath opponentsLongwood in Limerick yesterday.

In a tightly-contested first half, the critical score came in the 27th minute, when Alan Lynch's attempted point deceived keeper Jarlath Cully and looped into the net to leave Castlegregory leading by 1-5 to 0-5 at the interval. From there, Castlegregory stormed to victory and eventually ran out 1-16 to 0-8 winners.

Meanwhile, Emyvale advanced to the semi-finals of the same competition with a comfortable 3-7 to 0-8 victory over Scottish side Dunedin Connolly's.

Scorers -- Emyvale: PJ McKenna 1-0, B McKenna 1-0, G McKernan 1-0, M McAree 0-3, P McCarron 0-2, G McQuaid, B O'Brien 0-1 each. Dunedin: A Ward 0-5, F Molloy 0-2, C O'Conghaile 0-1.
