Brennan leaves it late

SUBSTITUTE Keith Brennan was the toast of Collon after his injury-time point gave Mattock Rangers back-to-back titles at Drogheda yesterday.

Brennan, one of five brothers on the Mattock panel, came on as a second-half substitute to snatch the winning score.

Cooley had the better of the early exchanges and led by 0-6 to 0-3 at the break. Niall Callan crashed the ball to the Cooley net to leave his side ahead by the minimum as full-time loomed, before Gavin Long levelled it in the 57th minute and Brennan hit the winning point.
