Ratoath overcame Maynooth PP in a tempestuous clash last night.

A massive brawl late in the second half ensured 10 minutes of injury-time in a nail-biting game that was marred by off-the-ball indiscretions and indiscipline.

Maynooth led by 2-6 to 2-4 at the break. A brace of Neil Flynn points drew the teams level in the second period, but points from Keith McCabe and Glen O'Reilly, either side of the brawl, eased Ratoath back into the lead and they held off Maynooth's fight-back during the 10 minutes of injury-time.
