In a true act of kindness, the senior panel from Donegal club Naomh Columba stopped to help a man turn his turf in Galway at the weekend.

The team were heading home after a trip to the beach in An Spidéal, where they went for a dip in the sea after their game against Laochra Loch Laoi in Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta in Moycullen, when the players spotted a man turning his turf and decided they would help him.

Up to 30 players, management and backroom team hopped off the bus and assisted "Tomás" in turning his turf.

It was especially charitable considering that their bid for a place in the men’s junior final was dashed by a Donegal powered Moindearg from London, in the junior  Comortas Peil na Gaeltachta semi-final in Moycullen.
