Former Chelsea star Andriy Shevchenko tees off with McIlroy in Irish Open Pro-Am
One of the most revered strikers in European football over the past decade and a half, Andriy Shevchenko, joined Rory McIlroy on the Carton House fairways for the Irish Open Pro-Am today.
The former AC Milan and Chelsea forward was trashing his way around the county Kildare course with an army of fans following both him and the world number two.
Also pictured at the event, being played in glorious sunshine, were former Westlife star Brian McFadden, jockey and horseracing trainer Johnny Murtagh and former Munster lock Mick O'Driscoll.
Celebrities from the entertainment, sporting and business worlds joined the pro golfers in tackling the Montgomerie Course just outside Leixlip.
