Enjoy Yourself is likely to have her sights raised after showing the right sort of attitude to make a winning start to her career in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden at Gowran Park.

Sent off at 40-1, the Oxx-trained daughter of Sir Percy raced handily and stuck to her guns after challenging two out, eventually holding the late rattle of Al Mohalhal by a neck.

Oxx said afterwards: "She's a nice filly and I'm not surprised she won as she's been working well. She was quite professional and it's not the easiest place to win on debut as there are lots of things to look at.

"She may go next for a Listed race (Flame of Tara Stakes) at the Curragh on August 30."

Macnicholson (7-1) was seen running well over hurdles at the Galway Festival recently and showcased his versatility when landing the McEnery Cup Handicap by a length and three quarters.

Always handily placed under Fran Berry, the six-year-old was sent to the front a fair way out but kept to his task well and always had matters under control.

Berry said: "He was a bit unlucky in the Galway Hurdle where he was nearly brought down but it was a good run as it was.

"The blinkers on today helped a lot. Jessica said to make plenty of use of him as a mile and a half is his minimum trip."

There was drama in the Join The Gowran Park Racing Club For 100 Euro Nursery as Dancing On Air (8-1) opened her account, but only after a stewards' inquiry.

Dobailin appeared to have done enough when just passing the post in front but she had wandered left in the closing stages, causing interference to the eventual winner, and the stewards deemed that interference significant enough to reverse the placings.

Aurelia Cotta (4-1) made every yard of the running when proving two and a quarter lengths too strong for her rivals in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap.
