The sportstar met with Andy Moss - who has stage four cancer – after the father-of-two made a video detailing his bucket list, with meeting David Beckham at the top of it all.

“I’m an even bigger fan of everything you do for people off of the field,” he says in the video.

“It looks like you’re a great husband and father, your charity work.”

Andy's wife Leyla pulled out all the stops to help make her husband’s dream come true, posting social media with the hashtag #AndyWantsToMeetDavidBeckham – and on Tuesday, the kind-hearted footballer happily obliged.

After his video went viral, Mr Moss said he got the shock of his life when the soccer legend turned up in Los Angeles to say hello.

Mr Beckham went along to meet Andy, his wife Leyla and their two children David and Mia - and he was not alone, as the 40-year-old brought wife Victoria Beckham and eldest son Brooklyn Beckham.

The Moss family used social media and a YouTube video request to get Beckham’s attention.

Mr Moss was diagnosed with Stage 4 mediastinal germ cell cancer, a rare form of testicular cancer.

He has undergone 40 chemotherapy treatments, 25 radiations, two bone marrow transplants and two rounds of major surgery.

His wife, Leyla, helped create his bucket list , with meeting David Beckham at the top of it all, and said she cried from seeing the pure joy on her husband’s face.

“It was truly an experience they will never forget,” she said.

Sharing a photo of her family with the British icon, she said: "For those of you who don't know about my husband Andy, he has stage 4 cancer and he made a YouTube video to @davidbeckham telling him that one of his bucket list wishes was meeting him.

"Simon his manager made all of the arrangements and he helped us with Andy's dream. We met David and his family including beautiful and sweet @victoriabeckham and @brooklynbeckham treated us like if we were family.

"They paid all of our travel expenses and they are even sending us out for dinner. We will never forget this experience, I am shaking still. The Beckhams truly are wonderful people!"

Mr Beckham’s oldest son Brooklyn was also touched by the encounter – and he took to Instagram to mark the special occasion.

Posing with the Moss family, the 16-year-old wrote: "So cool meeting@andymoss25 @leylamoss David and Mia."
