Rebels on final charge CORK 4-12; GALWAY 0-5 Maire Uí Scolaí CLINICAL Cork outshone and outpowered league champions Galway in the Foras na Gaeilge All-Ireland semi-final at the Gaelic Grounds yesterday.
The teams traded points for a while but the turning point came after 26 minutes when the sides were level at 0-3 each. Fiona O'Driscoll found Emer Dillon to knock in Cork's opening goal and O'Driscoll stung Galway with her second just before the break to put them in charge. The second half was all Cork and O'Driscoll was on hand to grab a second goal.
And when Jennifer O'Leary hit the back of the net for Cork's fourth goal it was just a matter of what score it would be.

IMPRESSIVE Tipperary booked their place in the All-Ireland decider next month when they overcame a disappointing Kilkenny side in the second semi-final.
The Cats could never match their opponents and after Tipperary's goal early on they were always chasing the game.
With ten minutes gone, Kilkenny 'keeper Miriam Holland brought off a fine save only for Tipp's full-forward Deirdre Hughes to crash the rebound to the net. Kilkenny tacked on a few scores to keep them in touch but Tipp dominated the second half with points from Emer McDonnell, Noelle Kennedy and Joanne Ryan.
SCORERS Tipperary: D Hughes 1-0, C Grogan 0-3, J Ryan, P Fogarty and N Kennedy 0-2 each, C Gaynor and E McDonnell 0-1 each. Kilkenny: S Millea 0-3, A Neary 0-2, E Maher 0-1.
