Neil Yadohali’s stoppage time goal effectively killed off Dundalk’s slim hopes of claiming their first League title in 18 years.
Yadohili’s header from Darragh Reynor’s corner came after the Louth side had created chance after chance.
It also means if St Pat’s beat Sligo today in Inchicore then the title is theirs.
Knowing they had no margin for error left, Dundalk appeared to be keeping their side of the bargain, going ahead on 18 minutes when Dane Massey looped his header over Dean Delany. They could have stretched their lead shortly afterwards but Vinny Faherty failed to convert the opening created for him by John Mountney.
The second half, by and large, was dominated by Bohs. Yet they lacked a cutting edge and could have lost by more had Stephen O’Donnell managed to convert a 79th minute penalty but the Dundalk midfielder chipped his effort over the crossbar.
