Collen Beag made it two wins in three days at the Tramore Festival when finishing best of all to land the Richard Power Private Client Betting Handicap Hurdle.

David O'Brien's charge won at the meeting on Friday and despite carrying a 6lb penalty, he was sent off a 4-1 chance and travelled nicely towards the rear in the early stages.

Caridadi made a bold bid for home at the second last, but Collen Beag and Do Na Paisti swept past at the last and it was Johnny Burke's mount who found more close home, winning by half a length.

O'Brien said: "That was nice and she is wicked game. Jonathan said she missed the third last so he sat and he knew she'd come up the hill.

"I'll look for something at Listowel for her now."

Caridadi's trainer John Morrison had already struck when Shouband got off the mark in the Philip Carroll Memorial Maiden Hurdle.

The 5-4 favourite travelled menacingly into contention before the third last under Paddy Mangan and hit the front before the final flight.

Victoryrowe chased him all the way to the line, though, but Shouband kept him three-quarters of a length at bay.

Mangan was securing his first win in the saddle since March and said: "I thought I was always holding on and I suppose it wasn't much of a race.

"I thought I'd win on Invincible Don (finished second) for John here the other day as well."
