Angel's in pursuit of Tipperary win

Tipperary is the setting for a decent mixed fixture on Thursday evening, with the Follow Tipperary On Facebook Handicap the pick of four contests run on the Flat.

Heading a field of 12 declared runners is David Marnane's Angel's Pursuit, who was set stiff tasks in Pattern company on his last couple of appearances and should find life easier at this level.

He will not have things all his own way, however, with recent Down Royal scorer Judies Child and course and distance winner Queens Grace among those set to put it up to the top-weight.

Odds-on backers will be looking forward to the opening Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden, as Fountain Of Youth looks sure to be a red-hot favourite.

A highly encouraging second on his debut at Naas last month, normal improvement should be good enough for him to see off five challengers.

Roscommon second The Plan Man is the best of those with previous form in the Follow @TipperaryRaces On Twitter Median Auction Maiden, but Dermot Weld and Jim Bolger both unleash newcomers to make things interesting.

The jumping action is fairly low-key, which is unsurprising given the time of year.

Perhaps the most interesting horse tackling obstacles is Time Please, representing the formidable combination of trainer Edward O'Grady and owner JP McManus.

A winner at Tramore a couple of starts back before being beaten into second on his handicap debut at Limerick, the five-year-old will be suited by coming back to the minimum distance on a sound surface.
