Welsh vice-captain Alun Wyn Jones has played down speculation that they are in for a hostile Aviva Stadium reception on Saturday.

The 28-year-old was responding to questioning today on whether Warren Gatland's decision to omit Brian O'Driscoll from the final Lions test last year would fire up the Dublin crowd.

"We're not in Syria, so I don't think it's as hostile as you like to make out," he said.

"Everybody keeps talking about spice and all this sort of stuff but we'll wait until Saturday to see if there is any there.

"That's for you guys (the journalists) to build up.

"As players it's there whether it's after a Lions tour or not."
