Afghanistan completed a 3-0 T20 series whitewash over Ireland with a 28-run victory in Greater Noida.

On a day of tumbling records in India, Afghanistan reached 233 for eight from their 20 overs with Mohammad Nabi (89) and Mohammad Shahzad (72) the mainstays of their innings.

Afghanistan's total was the biggest score by an ICC Associate team in T20 cricket, Nabi struck a record nine sixes, and the 104 runs scored in the last six overs eclipsed the 97 Australia scored against Sri Lanka last year.

Gary Wilson (59), Paul Stirling (49) and Stuart Thompson (43) led Ireland's reply but they were dismissed for 205 in the final over with Rashid Khan (three for 28) the pick of the Afghanistan bowlers.
