LIDL’s sponsorship of the Ladies Gaelic Football launched with a bang (anyone remember #Ladyball?!) and has gone from strength to strength.
Lidl was clearly serious about supporting Ladies Football, both on and off the pitch. And it’s true that Ladies Football hasn’t always received the support that it deserves, but things are changing and Lidl are at the vanguard of that change.
This year, they gave away €500,000 in prize funding for teams all over Ireland. That has meant new jerseys and vital equipment for 145 schools and cash donations for 150 local clubs.
Keen to bring top players to the fore, they commissioned a series of videos that introduced us to their ambassadors including finalists Briege and Sinead who featured in their campaign calling on fans to show their serious support and attend the finals.
Getting the right nutrition off the field is important for how you perform when you’re on it. So to help this year’s All-Ireland Finalists Lidl has contributed over €25,000 worth of healthy produce to the finalist teams after training. This has meant the players received the perfect post work-out nutrition, right when they needed it. Thats #SeriousSupport
